He co-hosts the Bloomberg Originals series ‘AI IRL,’ and writes and presents the shorter-form ‘Technically Speaking.’ Nate has spent almost two decades writing and speaking about technology, science, video games and the internet for publications including Bloomberg News and Businessweek, Wired, CNET, Ars Technica and GQ. Over the years, he’s been a regular main-stage public speaker and moderator at events such as Web Summit and been featured as an expert commentator by national and international broadcasters. As an editor, his expertise helps shape the work of Bloomberg journalists writing about all aspects of technology, from consumer products to advanced artificial intelligence research. He’s twice been shortlisted for awards from the British Society of Magazine Editors, and in his spare time is a heavy metal drummer with a passion for science fiction novels, Japanese culture and history, animal welfare and yoga.
