Stephen Engle is an award-winning broadcast journalist with nearly 30 years of experience communicating business, technology and general news to audiences across the Asia-Pacific region.

Currently based in Hong Kong as an on-air correspondent for Bloomberg Television, Mr. Engle conveys breaking news on the business and financial markets of greater China and the rest of Asia.

In 2013, Mr. Engle was honoured as the Best Current Affairs Presenter at the Asian Television Awards and was a finalist again in 2014 – both honors recognizing his comprehensive coverage of Mainland China as Bloomberg Television’s first Beijing-based China correspondent. Mr. Engle’s distinguished broadcasting career as anchor, reporter and producer has seen him based in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo.

Before joining Bloomberg Television, he had worked with CNBC, CNN and NHK. Mr. Engle brings essential and dynamic insight to business persons, finance professionals, investors and other viewers on the key markets and industries throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Highlights in Mr. Engle’s career include covering the visits to Asia by U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
