Seoul, April 7, 2025 – Bloomberg Television today launched its new state-of-the-art broadcast studio in Seoul, South Korea. Equipped with the latest technology to support rich multi-platform broadcasting, the new facility marks Bloomberg Television’s latest investment to further enhance coverage in Asia. The Seoul broadcast studio will mark the commencement of operations this week with special live broadcasts of ‘Bloomberg: The Asia Trade’ programming each day, featuring interviews with newsmakers spanning politics, business, technology and culture.
The new broadcast studio underscores Bloomberg Television’s expansion of coverage across Asia, with South Korea serving as a key location for coverage. This strategic investment reflects the crucial role the market plays in global trade, technological innovation and geopolitics, particularly as it prepares to host the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit which will place regional trade, AI and sustainability at the forefront of the agenda.
“With Korea being one of Asia’s largest economies, playing a key role in setting technological and cultural trends, we are pleased to invest in greater coverage in this important market,” said Nicholas Killham, Bloomberg Head of Asia TV. “The new Seoul studio will complement our existing broadcast hubs in Asia and further boost Bloomberg Television’s ability to report on the stories that matter to our global audience.”
Housed in Bloomberg’s Seoul office, the new studio facility features a streamlined technology solution to enable both on-demand rapid news contribution for evolving stories and capacity to support a fully live, multi-camera production with high resolution LED displays. The studio’s design and technology infrastructure supports Bloomberg Media’s broad range of production needs including serving all our media platforms and distributions from live news coverage to video news coverage along with short and long-form video content creation.
From April 7–11, the Seoul studio will welcome Bloomberg Television’s markets-led, daily program “Bloomberg: The Asia Trade” for a special week of programming, hosted by Bloomberg Television anchors Shery Ahn on location and Haidi Stroud-Watts in Sydney. The show air weekdays from 7am-9am HKT.
