Exciting news at Bloomberg this afternoon! Bloomberg Media CEO Justin B. Smith announced that six of our Bloomberg colleagues were chosen by Folio’s Top Women in Media Awards for their accomplishments, creativity, and drive this past year.

Four US Ad Sales team members who were named to Folio’s Rising Stars category. All four women have had an impressive year, bringing incredible value to their clients. Our Rising Stars include:
- Ellen Bennett, a tenacious professional on behalf of her clients, who laud her “constructive insight” and praise her “high caliber” work.
- Courtney Carroll, who has worked incredibly hard to establish the re-imagined Bloomberg LIVE event platform, educating the entire sales staff on the evolved mission and direction.
- Michele Chicoine, who grew her fashion and luxury sales category by nearly 160% year on year and secured Bloomberg’s first VR partner.
- Lauri Niedermaier, who has been recognized as Bloomberg Media Salesperson of the Year internally!
We’re thrilled to have Ellen, Courtney, Michele and Lauri representing Bloomberg Media as emerging leaders in the industry.
Bloomberg Media Chief Operating Officer Jacki Kelley was recognized in the ‘Entrepreneurs’ category for her leadership across Media, as we’ve seen her relentlessly execute on a number of initiatives this past year. Folio also recognized her work as a diversity & inclusion champion across Bloomberg Media. As the president-elect for New York Women in Communications, she continues to raise the profile of Bloomberg’s diversity to external clients and audiences. We are lucky to have Jacki as a leader at Bloomberg and it is no surprise that the industry continues to recognize her many accomplishments.
Last but not least, Bloomberg News’ Laura Zelenko was also named to the list in the ‘Mentors’ category. She is featured for her efforts around mentoring her colleagues and impacting their careers in a positive way.
The honorees will receive their awards at a celebratory luncheon at the Yale Club on Thursday, June 9. They join an growing group of employees who have been acknowledged for their hard work and influence in the industry, and we congratulate them all.
