Bloomberg Television today announced the appointment of Rachel Wehrspann as Head of TV, U.S., and Emily Yamamoto as Head of TV, Asia-Pacific, effective immediately. Both Wehrspann and Yamamoto will report to Al Mayers, Global Head of Television and Radio.
As Head of TV, U.S., Wehrspann will be responsible for U.S. editorial. Wehrspann most recently served as executive producer of Bloomberg Surveillance and Bloomberg Daybreak Americas. She has been with the company since 2007 and will be based in New York City.
Emily Yamamoto, named Head of TV, Asia-Pacific, will be based in Hong Kong. In her new role, she will oversee editorial in the APAC region. She served most recently as the executive producer for Asia TV and has produced First Up, Trending Business, Asia Edge, Bloomberg Daybreak, Bloomberg Markets and High Flyers. Yamamoto is the first woman head of Bloomberg TV in Asia. She has been with Bloomberg since 2006.
