● Original TBS-produced news articles and videos to feature alongside daily selection of Japanese-language Bloomberg articles and videos distributed on TBS digital properties
● New digital brand studio to be launched by TBS with the support of Bloomberg Media Studios, providing custom content and world-class creative capabilities for global advertisers
May 13, 2024 – Bloomberg Media and Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc. (“TBS”) today announced a new content partnership to bring Japanese news consumers expanded access to premium business and financial news from Bloomberg through TBS NEWS DIG. Japanese news consumers around the world will be able to access a selection of Bloomberg original news articles and video content through the new jointly-branded section of its website when it launches in 2024.
As part of this partnership, Bloomberg Media Studios and TBS will also share knowledge and expertise to establish a new digital brand studio within TBS, specializing in bespoke Japanese and English-language custom content for Japanese advertisers seeking to reach global audiences. Both companies will also explore collaborative opportunities related to business events and ad monetization domestically and outside of the Japanese market.
Takashi Sasaki, President and Representative Director of TBS Holdings, Inc. and Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc., said that the partnership would give Japanese news consumers access to a wealth of Bloomberg’s business and financial news content from around the world.

This partnership will enhance the website’s business and financial news offering and enable TBS to distribute its content globally. Enhancing TBS’s ability to share Japanese content worldwide will not only support our global business objectives, but help TBS NEWS DIG establish itself as the premier digital news hub in Japan,” said Takashi Sasaki.

The five-year partnership officially begins on June 1, 2024.
